A key narrative device that shapes your journey in Sovereign Tower is which knights you choose to occupy your round table. Some knights will show up to an audience no matter what, but others have certain requirements necessary to recruit them – and it’s not always obvious. One such knight is Chester, the charismatic and chaotic jester with a goose phobia.

Chester Quest: Part 1

Chester will appear Cycle 2. Be sure to hear him out instead of calling the guards, and he’ll lament about a goose that has been “terrorizing” the bathhouse. He hasn’t bathed in 15 days, and you can tell. Select the quest The Clean Keeper Goose and send Angelica to befriend the goose.

Chester Quest: Part 2

Chester will return upon completion of part 1 with more complaints. Turns out the goose was just trying to protect her eggs. And now, to his dismay, the villagers love her! He will describe her eggs in one of three ways, which will dictate the knight requirements for the quest. Here are the correct selections for each:

  • Shiny Send Gwenden
  • Smelly Send any knight with cheese
  • Sweet Send any knight with a mount

Upon completion, Chester will return the following Cycle. During your conversation, select “Was this bird not, in the end, just looking for a little company, like the rest of us?” to invite him to your round table.

Should You Add Chester to Your Round Table?

Now that you know how to recruit Chester, should you add him to your table? Aside from having an audacious personality, his stats are completely random, and he likes all quests, making him a great support knight. And with mounts, weapons, and consumables, you can ensure that specific stats are guaranteed every time.
