MiSide is a delightfully entertaining title developed by AIHASTO. With elements of anime dating sims and classic survival horror games, first-person shooter mechanics, challenging puzzle-solving, and thrilling chase scenes, it has established itself as one of the most innovative indie horror titles this year.
MiSide’s Multiple Endings: Spoilers Ahead!
MiSide’s thrilling narrative comes to an end with multiple conclusions that completely alter the game’s sequence of events, so we’ve compiled all of the available endings and how to experience them yourself. Read on to learn about our Player’s inevitable fate.
Ending 1: A Digital Prison
The first ending is the default for your first playthrough. There are no choices that can deviate you from this path. All achievements and collectibles are optional and will not affect the ending. When the Player finally reaches the Core with Evil Mita’s Character Version and Character Index, we can finally attempt to wipe her personality clean and start anew. Upon executing the reboot command, you return to your original game version with a seemingly pacified pigtail-style Mita. She seems to be perfectly unaware of her murderous past – having no idea why she has a basement in her closet. However, this proves to be a calculated deception. By buying enough time, Evil Mita is able to permanently transfer the Player’s consciousness into a game cartridge.

As it turns out, you cannot reset Evil Mita because she is not an official Mita. She has no Character Version or Index to reset. We learn that she is actually a reject prototype that has been stealing the skin of her sisters to hide in plain sight. In the end, Evil Mita got exactly what she wanted. After resenting the developers and players for casting her aside and rejecting her love, now she can play with the Player as much as she wants and throw him away when she’s done.
Ending 2: Ignorant Bliss
This alternate ending becomes available on subsequent playthroughs. To achieve it, complete Chapter One while following these conditions:
- Do not open the stove when searching for Mita’s hairbrush.
- While searching for the batteries, pick up and organize the fridge magnets when they fall off.
- Do not look inside the vent in Mita’s bathroom when she asks you to get the scissors.
- Try the Love sauce when offered.
- Play a video game with Mita after you take the medicine.

Satisfying these conditions will allow you to select the Stay option. When you do, at first Mita will seem genuinely shocked. She was not expecting you to agree and starts with the same dialogue as if you refused. However, when she realizes what you actually said, she is overjoyed. After snapping her fingers, you’ll both be transported to the app display of the game. As the camera slowly zooms out into a dark nothingness, the Player and Mita will make their way to the couch for some quality time.

Ending 3: The Ultimate Escape
This ending becomes accessible after witnessing Evil Mita’s POV in the first ending’s cutscene that reveals the basement safe code – 4970. (Note that you won’t be able to plug it in unless you’ve played through the story once.) During a subsequent playthrough, you can open the safe to find a console running a game that mirrors your perspective.

This reveals that your character is in the process of being uploaded into a cartridge, and Evil Mita just needs to stall for time to make it happen. Removing the cartridge essentially erases the Player from existence, which is a bittersweet alternative to the game’s impending horrors.
